Curriculum and Training
Our curriculum as a training institution is designed to provide immersive, hands-on experience to our students. Training can encompass a wide range of disciplines, including:
- Pichwai Paintings from Rajasthan.
- Phad Paintings from Rajasthan.
- Kawad Art from Rajasthan.
- Tanjore Paintings from Tamilnadu.
- Mysore Paintings from Karnataka.
Students learn the classic, folk and traditional art, and the stories associated with those through our special lectures announced periodically. These training often includes understanding the arti elements, cultural context and the stories behind these art forms.
Community Engagement and Cultural Preservation
As a training institution we intend to serve as a bridge between the
past and the present. It not only trains individuals but also engages
with the broader community. This engagement includes organizing
cultural festivals, student exhibitions (online/offline), and lectures
that showcase the skills and knowledge preserved within the
institution. These events are intended to provide an opportunity for
the community to reconnect with our rich culture and heritage.
Furthermore, the institution often collaborates with cultural
preservation organizations, governments, and educational institutions
to document and archive traditional knowledge. This ensures that even
as practices evolve, the original forms are not lost to time.
Challenges and the Way Forward
Despite their importance, classic, folk and traditional training institutions face numerous challenges, including the decline in interest among younger generations, the encroachment of global cultural influences, and a lack of funding. However, by integrating modern educational tools, digital archiving, and innovative approaches to cultural transmission, these institutions can adapt and continue to fulfill their essential role.
In conclusion, as a classic, folk and traditional training institute we want to be a beacon of cultural continuity in a rapidly changing world. By nurturing the skills and knowledge of the past. As a training institute we want to empower individuals and communities to retain their unique cultural identities while navigating the future.
